I have over 20 years of experience in business and have contributed to the significant growth of numerous businesses by delivering creative consultation, training in business psychology, and helping to transform individuals, teams and cultures worldwide.

After doing badly at my A Levels, I scraped into higher education studying Media and Communications and after graduating I started out as a runner for TV productions—making tea for celebrities—before rising to be First Assistant Director. At the age of twenty-six I left to set up my own creative agency.

For several years I steered That’s a Wrap Ltd to become one of the leading micro businesses in video and events companies in London. I led on creating communications platforms for companies including the BBC, Autocue, Capita PLC, Bupa, Reed in Partnership, Dairy Council, DTI and The Learning and Skills Council. One of my biggest achievement aged 29, was to launch Capita PLC successfully into the travel industry by creating multi-platform marketing and communication strategies at the national travel show.

I successful exited my business in 2005 to start a family. This time gave me the insight to see how I could bring all my skills to together and start training people to change their attitudes and behaviours so they were more motivated and more productive at work. From 2008 to 2013 I led the creation and implementation of bespoke training and methodology for sales, and behavioural training for young people, a lead trainer in the delivery of sales and skills for HBOS, training 17,500 staff over two years, and re-engage hundreds of 11-16 year-olds into education.

In 2014 I had the opportunity to buy Academy of Sales and re-launch a programme that I had previously been leading on as an employee in the business. I joined Josh Campbell in owning the business and have helped many young people out of employment and provided new talent to business like BT, Npower, EMC, and Johnston Press PLC.

Having grown up in a challenging family environment, I can relate, on a deeply personal level, to what many young people go through during their teens and early twenties without solid parental support. It is my mission to help reduce employment and work with young people become ‘work ready’ and create a new mind-set of possibility and self-belief.
